  "ELLINGSON, FINN H., dealer in general merchandise, Oslo, came to this county in 1880, and located in Vernon township. He was born in Fredrikshald, Norway, April 1, 1859, to Mads J. and Hannah (Broch) Ellingson, the father being a prominent merchant and pioneer settler of Vernon township. His youth was spent in the proverbial district school of his native land. He married Eliza Wilson in 1892 and their home has been brightened by the birth of two children, Hannah and Alice, both of whom survive. Mr. Ellingson is a republican and affiliates with the Lutheran Church. His store and large stock of general merchandise are the rightful fruit of his own industry.
